Full Schedule of Events:

Sunday 5TH MAY 2PM-6PM

 

2pm Official Opening of the festival

Followed by The Blessing and Cleansing of the Cows officiated over by The Priestess of Elen of The Ways.

 

2pm-6pm Craft Fare in the Gardens

browse the various stalls, see some of the artists at work and maybe purchase a unique piece as a memento of the festival.

 

2PM-4pm Festival goers are invited to dress up as Lugh the Sun God of Ireland and Goddess of the land

The winners of which will each receive special sculptures Commissioned & donated by Tommy Kelly of Bevel Woodworking School. 

Think along the lines of Druids and Pagan Gods and Goddesses.

 

 2pm-6pm Creation of the Giant Wicker God in the garden

Give a hand to Sculptor Barbra Kelly and pin your wishes on the Wicker God.

 

2pm–6pm  May Pole

Dance around the May Pole in the old traditional Way

 

2pm-6pm  May Bush Workshop

design your decoration and put it on our May Bush

 

3pm Blacksmith demonstration

join Finin in his forge and learn the Ancient Blacksmith Craft.

 

3:30pm Storytelling in the Courtyard with Baya The Storyteller

Listen to her Bring the past to life as she spins love tales of Celtic wonder and magic.

 

4pm Celtic music and dance in the Courtyard

Be entertained by our very talented Musicians and dancers.

 

5pm The marriage of the newly ordained Lugh Sun God of Ireland and Aine Goddess of the Land

Ceremony performed by The Priestess of Elen of the Ways.


moNDAY 6TH MAY 1PM-6Pm

 

1pm-6pm  Craft Fare in the gardens

 

1pm–6pm  May Pole

Dance around the May Pole in the old traditional Way

 

1pm-6pm  Pin Your Wishes on the Wicker God

 

2-30pm  Ceremony to collect the first Beltane dew and water from the well

This will be sprinkled by the maidens of Beltane. People who are touched by this will have a very healthy life.

 

1pm-4pm  May Queen Pageant

festival goers are encouraged to dress in traditional style (long white dresses and lots of flowers etc)

The winner will receive a specially commissioned piece created by Patricia from The Potters Yard.
